At Totuma we tried, at least once a year, to create a personal, experimental, and or seasonal project.
No clients, just us.
We call this series UNTITLED.

DECONSTRUCTING
MOTION GRAPHICS
I have had the privilege of sharing what I learned by teaching Motion Graphics in ProDiseño, Caracas, Venezuela and at the IED Instituto Europeo de Diseño in Barcelona, Spain.
"Deconstructing Motion Graphics" is a video I made for one of my lessons, a deep analysis on Orson Welles opening sequence for his movie “A Touch of Evil”.
The lesson is in Spanish.

#MYFLOR BY TOTUMA
__Rugs Expo during Art Basel Miami__
Rugs are an affordable way to transform a space. Using FLOR rugs as our raw material, and working the rugs like pixel units, we can make almost anything imaginable.
By the end of 2020, Venezuela accounts for 6 million refugees, asylum-seekers, and migrants, remaining one of the world's largest displacement crises.
Most of them travel trough the Maiquetía International airport Simón Bolivar.
This rug mimics the design on the floor airport, an art piece called "Cromo Interferencia de color aditivo" designed by Carlos Cruz Diez.
A reminder of all the good and bad things we left behind.

Cinema Redux
__Totuma ReeL PosterS__
To be able to condense seconds, minutes, even hours of moving sequences into single images is something I find fascinating.
Created in 2004 by Brendan Dawes we eventually find our own way of making this sort of "fingerprints" of our own work.
